I was out in the desert walking the dogs when I came across very nice portable target stand with sticks and a target (weather by rain and wind) attached to it. I know what it’s like to leave targets out in the desert after a little shooting fun.
I once took a trip to California on the back roads from Las Vegas to 29 Palms. I stopped along the way, and drove way up into the hills to do some exploring. While there I set out two orange self-healing target, and did a little target practice. Once I returned home, I realized I had left those two targets out there.
On my next trip to 29 Palms (about three months later) I drove back to that place. I really didn’t think they would still be there, but I just had to look. And sure enough they were gone.
So, this is what I’m going to do. If (after looking at the photo) you can tell me exactly where I found this target stand, I will give it back to you.
And, as a bonus I am going to include a brand new USSL target. This is official paper target of the United Shooting Sports Leagues. It is used in UML (United Multi-Gun League), URL (United Rifle League), and UPL (United Pistol League) matches. It is a hex target measuring 18″ with 12″ and 6″ internal scoring areas.
For more information on the United Shooting Sports Leagues visit: “ussleagures.com“. Ask about USSL matches being held in your local area. If you live in Las Vegas, you’re in luck. This is where it began. The creator of the USSL is Pete Rensing. Pete has be involved in the shooting sports for over 10 years. He is a Grand Master shooter, top notch instructor, and one of the best stage designers in the country. He operates the Silver State Practical Shooting Club where you can shoot a variety of matches every weekend.
